Safeguarding
Longparish C of E Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We have Safeguarding and Child Protection policies in place. All staff, including our supply staff, volunteers and governors, ensure that they are aware of these procedures. Parents and carers are welcome to read the policies which are available in the 'Policies' section of this website.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare.
Here are the key contacts if you have any safeguarding or child protection concerns:
- Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Mr Mark Ward
- Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs)
- Mrs Christine Leach
- Mrs Sarah Jordan
- Safeguarding Governor
- Mrs Christian Dryden
- Chair of Governors
- Mr Graeme Johnson
If you are concerned about a child's welfare, please record your concern, and any observations or conversation heard, and report to one of the Designated Safeguarding Leads as soon as possible on the same day.
If your concerns relate to the actions or behaviour of a member of staff (which could suggest that he/she is unsuitable to work with children) then you should report this to the Head Teacher in confidence. If the concern relates to the Head Teacher you should contact the Local Authority Designated Officers (LADO) on 01962 876364 who will consider what action to take.
