Key areas of School Improvement 2024/2025

  1. Quality of Education:

1.1 To continue to develop our Longparish approach to teaching and learning, with a focus on all children demonstrating positive learning behaviours.

1.2 All staff are effective in ensuring ALL children especially those on SEN register and reluctant learners are given opportunities to engage effectively with their learning.

1.3 From quality text to quality writing; improving writing for all children (handwriting)

1.4 To further develop our Golden Threads (‘migration and the movement of mankind’ (that over time mankind has always been on the move, and that there are many reasons for migration; war, economics, climate etc but that there is a lot to celebrate about the migration of people) and ‘climate and sustainability’),  as a means of making all our pupils effective and aware citizens of the world.

  1. Behaviour and Attitudes:

2.1  To evidence and ensure our christian vision is effectively translated into the day-to-day work of the school 

2.2  To continue to drive attendance in school 

2.3  Enhance outdoor learning to improve outcomes for all children: the playground environment to support children in positive play that develops friendships and improves behaviour, the Lookout lodge and timber trail, the copse and continuous provision in Herons and Robins

 

  1. Personal Development

3.1    Develop a comprehensive, whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing that meets the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND

3.2   To ensure there is a broad and rich set of resources and texts to celebrate diversity

3.3   To further develop Sport, Health and Wellbeing; to include 3.1, the build and effective use of lookout Lodge and transitioning to online recording of PE and Sport Grant  

3.4   To ensure there is a robust approach to E-Safety learning across the school and that parents are informed partners

4.1 Develop and transition from lesson observations to ‘Good Practice review’ 

4.2 Develop and improve our assessment of Foundation and Core Subjects

4.3 Develop effective system for governors to engage in monitoring across the school
