Winchester science centre trip

On Wednesday 8th June, Heron class went on a school trip to Winchester Science Centre because we were learning about space.

We got on the minibus and left school to travel to the Centre. After a long drive we arrived. First, a person called Mark told us what we were going to do during the visit. Next, we met a lady called Susie. She told us that we were going to do a rocket experiment.

She helped us make a rocket out of a bottle, fins and a nose cone. We made them in teams of three. Then, we went outside and launched them up into the sky.

After that we had lunch and some children went on a timber trail. Then we had a look round the science activities. Eventually, we went to the planetarium. The planetarium is a big screen, that is all around you in a dome shape. We saw all the planets in space. We saw the moon, sun, stars, constellations and a lion called Leo.

Finally, we walked back to the minibus, we got in and went home.

On the way home Kitty and I played Colour Car. Then we arrived home. What a lovely day Heron class had at Winchester Science Centre!
