PASTORAL ORGANISATION

Classroom organisation varies but we ask that the following school rules are followed, for the benefit of all:

  • No jewellery other than watches be worn. Earrings, finger rings and bracelets pose a danger in all forms of P.E. and at playtimes.
  • Teachers are informed in writing, in advance, if a child will be absent to visit the dentist, doctor, hospital etc. or if a child needs to be excused from P.E.
  • If a child is away without advance warning, please contact the School Office at the beginning of the day. We are required by the Department for Education and Skills to have a letter giving reasons for absence when the child returns to school.
  • Property should be clearly labelled with the child’s name.
  • T-shirts, shorts and plimsolls should be worn for indoor P.E. lessons and kept in a bag.  Older children will need trainers/football boots.  For swimming lessons in the summer term, children with long hair need a swimming cap.
  • Our Policy for Attendance can be found in the Policies’ File in the school office.
