Key Stage 2 SATs results

We would like to congratulate Year 6 for their fantastic results in this year’s SATS; 100% of Year 6 reached the expected standards in both the mathematics and reading tests, with 50% gaining the higher standard of “Greater Depth” in reading and 42% gaining “Greater Depth” in mathematics.  Last year, only 34 schools nationally achieved 100% in both reading and mathematics and, although I would expect this number to rise this year, this gives an indication of the level of their success. Well done!

Reports to Parents

The end of year reports for all year groups will be sent home with your child tomorrow; if there is anything in your child’s report which you would like clarified, please notify the office to arrange contact with your child’s teacher.

School uniform

Following feedback from parents, we are introducing the option of a royal blue polo shirt as part of the school uniform.  If your child would prefer not to wear a school sweatshirt or cardigan, they have the option to wear a blue or white polo shirt with the Longparish CE Primary logo, however, the polo shirts can be plain white or blue if worn with a jumper or cardigan.  The polo shirts with embroidered logo are available to order online from Stitch Design -

Message from Dodie Marsden

If anyone has a very small school sweatshirt that they are willing to donate to dress a small teddy for Bukanaga, please can you contact the office. Thank you.

Leavers’ Lunch

As with our usual tradition, the Year 6 children have chosen the lunch for the last day of term.  They have chosen chicken burgers and chips or vegetarian sausage puff with chips, followed by orange jelly.  If your child is in Years 3 to 6 and wishes to have this lunch, it must be ordered (and paid for) by Wednesday 19th July.  I’m sorry but it will not be possible to order this lunch on the day.  Thank you
